Garlic Butter King Prawns

These garlic butter king prawns go great with everything. Pasta dishes, on top of a summery salad, as a special starter or a Hodgson Fish favourite ‘Surf and Turf’.

Ingredients

Serves 2 or 4 people (starter or main)

  • 8 Extra Large Shell on King Prawns
  • 75gm Soften butter (not melted)
  • 3 to 4 Garlic Cloves, peeled and chopped
  • Salt and Pepper

Method

Pre -heat the oven to 180/200 degrees and cover a baking tray with tin foil.

In a small bowl, mix the soften butter and chopped garlic.

With a sharp knife, split each of the king prawns down the back of the shell to create a butterfly. Remove the black vein.

Generously spread the garlic butter through the back of the butterflied king prawns and place on the baking tray stood up with the tail facing upwards. Season with salt and pepper, place in the oven for 12 minutes.

Once cooked, serve with fresh salad, steak or with pasta. Not to discard of the garlic buttery juice from the tray, pour over the king prawns for extra flavour.
